Yerevan /Mediamax/. In April, 2009, the volume of tax proceeds to the state budget of Armenia made 16.6bln AMD, which is only for 0.8bln less, as compared to the analogous index of 2008.

As the Head of State Revenue Committee of Armenia Gagik Khachatryan stated at a briefing today, in conditions of the global financial-economic crisis, the government assesses this index as satisfactory.

According to him, tax bodies pay great attention to revealing shadow economy among managing subjects. In conditions of the crisis, one should toughen application of the law to secure correct tax accounting”, Gagik Khachatryan stated.

He informed that in April, 2009, tax proceeds from the profit tax exceeded for 3bln AMD the analogous index of 2008.
