Yerevan /Mediamax/. In the first quarter of 2009, Armenia registered lowest level of consumer price growth among CIS counties.

Mediamax reports referring the Statistical Committee of the CIS that the growth in consumer prices in Armenia in the first quarter of 2009, as compared to the analogous period of 2008, made 2%. The largest growth (20.4%) of consumer prices in the given period is registered in Ukraine.

According to the same source, in the first quarter, 2009, the decline in Armenia’s GDP made 6.1%. In Russia the given index made 12.3%.
