Yerevan /Mediamax/. To conclude the started programs, Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Plant (ZCMP) needs investments at the sum of $40-50mln. Mediamax reports that the Director of the Plant Maxim Hakobyan said this today. He noted that the sum of investments into ZCMP in the course of recent 4 years made $330mln. Commenting on today’s decision of the Armenian government on allocating for ZCMP a state loan at the volume of $10mln, Maxim Hakobyan noted that these means will be directed to increase production volumes of molybdenum (for 35%) and copper (for 75%). This will allow preserving workplaces, and by the end of the year opening 200-300 more new workplaces. Today, there are 10 thousand people working at the Plant with the average salary of 220 thousand AMD. Maxim Hakobyan stated that if the prices for molybdenum and copper in works markets fluctuate at the level of $8.5 thousand and $3.5 thousand per a ton, the Plant will manage to conclude the year with “a small profit”.
