Yerevan /Mediamax/. IMF Chief Executive Officer Age Bakker stated in Yerevan today that Armenian authorities, together with the participants of the financial market, should set a “balanced exchange rate” for AMD against USD.

Answering the question of Mediamax today, Age Bakker stated that the most important thing for Armenia now is to preserve financial stability and competitiveness, which depends not only on AMD exchange rate, but also on business-atmosphere and international position of the republic.

“This is why it is difficult to separately consider the issue of national currency exchange rate”, Age Bakker stated.
