EasyPay, one of the leading Armenian fintech companies, is celebrating its birthday, the birthday of the “company-friendship”, on November 4. Since the words “company” and “friendship” are expressed by the same word in Armenian, EasyPay is using the word “ընկերություն” [ənkerut'jun] in both senses. According to EasyPay, a company is more than just an organization; it is about being friends with employees, customers, and partners. This approach to work has been effective for ten years. EasyPay’s history starts in 2014, with the installation of the first EasyPay payment kiosks on Yerevan streets. The number of payment kiosks and distribution expanded over time. Today, there are over 4000 payment kiosks across Armenia, from streets to crossroads and various points of sale. Then came 2017, and EasyPay’s online wallet—easywallet—was launched. Since then, instead of using a payment kiosk, one can simply install the app on their smartphone and make payments with a few taps anytime and anywhere. By listening to and understanding the needs of different customers and working actively on provided services over the years, EasyPay now offers more than 1000+ services to pay for via its payment kiosks and the easywallet app. This is the result of a close friendship with and the feedback from customers and partners. Based on this approach, EasyPay managed to include different areas of life and activity in its services and help people pay utility bills, make medical, insurance, state, bank- and car-related payments, receive transfers from abroad, buy event tickets, receive loans online, and much more. There is one more essential ingredient in the changes EasyPay has brought about: it is the friendship within the team.
