Arayik Harutyunyan, chief of staff of the Prime Minister of Armenia, said that “closing checkpoint at Lars will not affect us if Armenian business finds new markets.”

“Now it is extremely important that Armenians both in Armenia and Diaspora buy exclusively Armenian products: agricultural products, beverages, use services provided by Armenian companies. Supporting business and the taxpayer in this way is vital for strengthening the Independence and Sovereignty.

Closing any of LARS checkpoints will not affect us if Armenian business finds new markets and Armenian products have their place on the holiday and non-holiday tables of our compatriots living abroad. There should be exclusively Armenian vegetables, fruit, wine, brandy and other agricultural products on the New Year and Christmas tables,” Arayik Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page.
