Experts of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) forecast that despite some slowdown, the growth rate of Armenia’s economy will remain high and amount to 7.5% by the end of the year.“The economy maintains a high-speed growth. All sectors have positively influenced the dynamics with services sector still playing the key role. However, monthly data from the beginning of the year shows a gradual slowdown in the growth of services. This is largely due to last year’s high performance and adjustment of demand. At the same time, growth in trade and construction is reinforced. This trend will continue until the end of the year, which will somewhat slow down the economic activity. The economy is supported, among other things, by significant volumes of remittances and net exports and the preservation of high tourist activity,” the regular publication of EDB Macroeconomic Review reads.
