Yerevan /Mediamax/. The volume of deposits, attracted by Armenian commercial banks as of the end of October##, 2008, made 475bln 450mln AMD, having cut down as compared to September for 15bln 859mln AMD.

As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service, the volume of residents’ deposits in late October made 415 103mln AMD, having increased as compared to September for 269mln AMD, while the deposits of non-residents in the accounting period cut down for 16 128mln, making 60 347mln AMD.

The volume of deposits in foreign currency as of the end of October made 204 959mln AMD, in national currency 270 491mln AMD.

The remainder on deposits in banks as of October 31, 2008, made 206 752mln AMD, having cut down as compared to the previous month for 4.6% and having increased as compared to the same period of 2007 for 27.4%.
