Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia’s Deposit Guarantee Fund## does not rule out the possibility of reconsidering the maximum sum of guaranteed deposits. Director of the Fund Hermine Harutyunyan said this in an interview to Mediamax today, answering the question on whether the Fund plans to follow the example of a number of other countries and increase the upper limit of reimbursable deposits. “The Fund regularly analyses the expediency of increasing the maximum sum of guaranteed deposits basing on a number of economic factors, including the GDP volume per capita, the average volume of deposits, inflation, etc. Taking into account the above-mentioned factors, one cannot rule out reconsideration of the minimum guaranteed sum”, Hermine Harutyunyan stated in an interview to Mediamax. At that she noted that over 97% of depositors “keep within” the maximum sum of the guaranteed deposit, which makes 2mln AMD. Tweet Views 5946
