Yerevan /Mediamax/. “ArmenTel” Company (Beeline brand) announced today that it put the first mobile network of third generation (3G) in Armenia## to commercial exploitation today.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of “ArmenTel”, the new services will allow increasing data transfer speed for mobile subscribers, connected to GPRS service, as well as realize video-calls inside the network.

At that, additional payment for these services will not be collected - while data transfer is realized inside the 3G network, including when using video-telephony, tariffing is carried out according to the already existing prices for “GPRS Package” service under the tariff plan of the subscriber.

General Director of “ArmenTel” Neicho Velichkov stated that “3G service is a completely different level of communication and a different approach to life and mobility”.
