Yerevan /Mediamax/. The credit portfolio of Armenian commercial banks as of July 31 of 2008 made 566 962mln drams##, having increased for 20 907mln drams, as compared to June.

As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service of Armenia today, the volume of credits, provided by banks in foreign currency, as of July 31 made 209 446mln drams, and in national currency – 357 517mln drams.

The volume of credits, provided by credit organizations of Armenia as of the end of July, 2008, made 52 061mln drams.

In June, 2008, the number Armenian commercial banks’ customers made 1 024 030, having increased for 19 741 people, as compared to May of 2008. 48 657 from the total number of the customers represent legal entities, 975 373 – individuals.

As of June 30 of 2008, in Armenian banks 1 228 684 bank accounts functioned, having increased for 22 817, as compared to May of 2008.
