Yerevan /Mediamax/. HSBC Bank Armenia CJSC and Ayas Nautical Research Club have launched sailing boat Nairi## on 23-rd August, 2008. Nairi is the first traditional Sevanian sailing boat which was restored based on the old preserved pictures and blessed before descending it onto the water according to the old tradition.

Nairi will take part in future regattas and is aimed to boost the restoration and development of the sailing sport and tourism in Armenia.

The boat is made with pine wood, weights one ton with length of 9m., width of 2.5m. and capacity of 15 people, is of fishing style.
