Yerevan /Mediamax/. Aiming at transporting the railroad trains, staying in Georgia##, in the shortest terms, a bypass bridge, which will temporarily substitute the one exploded on August 16 in Gori-Tbilisi section, is being repaired.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of “South Caucasus Railroad” (SCR), the bypass railroad bridge has not been exploited for a long time and was out of action, as a result of which it will take approximately three days to repair it.

The press service of SCR also informed that the reserve bridge has less traffic capacity; consequently, after its reestablishment the cargoes will be transported in smaller volumes.

The SCR informed that at present, there are 57 carriages with wheat for Armenia waiting in the territory of Georgia.

Mediamax recalls that SCR sent technical help for the repair works of the railroad bride in the Georgian Grakali village, blown up last week. 2 carriages of wood sleepers and 1 carriage of ferroconcrete sleepers were sent to Georgia. 12 SCR specialists were also sent to participate in the repair works. According to preliminary information, the repair of the exploded bridge will take 1-2 weeks.
