Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian “MegaFon” mobile operator stated that the Company is interested in the Armenian market##.

Mediamax reports referring RBK that the Deputy General Director of “MegaFon” Aleksey Nichiporenko stated that the company is interested in the Armenian market, however, “the business-case is very heavy there, the country has 3mln subscribers, and they are all already using this or that connection”.

Mediamax recalls that in May 2008, answering a question on whether “MegaFon” will participate in the international tender for the third license for mobile connection in Armenia, representative of the operator Tatiana Zvereva stated that the Company is not interested in entering the Armenian market.

“About 2,5mln people live in Armenia, and there are already 2 large operators there. This is not very interesting for us as a separate investment project”, Tatiana Zvereva said then.
