Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian privately held businesses attach considerable importance to the issue## of attracting specialists in detecting and preventing fraud. As Mediamax was told in the Marketing Department of “Grant Thornton Amyot”, according to the results of the international business report, recently published by “Grant Thornton International”, 59% of the polled Armenian businessmen attract into their companies corresponding specialists (globally the given index on average makes 45%). Fraud is generally considered to involve theft of assets or false accounting (the falsification or alteration of accounting records or other documents). Assets include commercially sensitive information and intellectual property which would disadvantage its rightful owner if it were to fall into the hands of, or be sold to, a competitor.Armenia occupies the fourth place in the world as to the demand of specialists in detecting and preventing fraud, the first place is occupied by Philippines (72%), second- Mexico (71%), third – Russia (63%) and the fifth – the USA (58,8%). According to the results of the report, Armenian businesses also report the increase of those employees by 18% compared to the global average at 12%. Tweet Views 5298
