During the annual meeting of shareholders, which took place in Yerevan today, “Unibank” summed up the results## of the sixth year of activity, declaring it successful both from the point of view of realization of strategic plans and quality reforms. As Mediamax was told in the press service of “Unibank”, the bank basically fulfilled the tasks, set by the business-plan for 2007, and secured positive dynamics of growth of the main indices of activity. The growth of the customer basis in the accounted period made 69%, and the number of customers - over 33 600. The volume of attracted means increased 1,8 times, making by the end of the year 23,84bln drams. As to the volume of term deposits of individuals, “Unibank” occupies the first place in the banking system of Armenia. The volume of provided loans increased twice, making 29,6bln drams. “Unibank” reached considerable results also in the market of money transfers: the turnover by UNIstream system made $657mln (over 50% of the Armenian market of money transfers falls on the share of UNIstream). The bank continued the expansion of the branch network, making the number of branches 29. Opening of new branches is planned for this year as well – in Ijevan, Kamo, Spitak, Tashir towns and in Yerevan. In 2007, the bank successfully realized the program of the European ABN AMRO bank “Improvement of processes of banks risks management”. Quality changes also took place in the management structure of the bank– the former Head of one of ABN AMRO representative offices Hugo Willem Minderhoud entered the composition of the Board. He currently manages the sphere of risk-management and the internal audit in “Unibank”. By the end of the current year, “Unibank” plans to increase its mortgage portfolio for more than twice – to $60mln. According to the results of the first quarter of 2008, the total volume of car credits, provided by the bank, made 1,7bln drams, exceeding the same index of 2007 for almost three times.
