Yerevan, February 7 /Mediamax/. Armenian government approved today the draft law “On activity of credit bureaus and circulation of credit information”. As Mediamax was told in the press service of the government, the given draft law aims at establishing legal bases for the activity of credit bureaus, as well as the regulation of credit information collection and preparation of credit reports. In connection with the approval of the draft law, the Cabinet of Ministers also decided to make changes in the laws “On banking secrecy”, “On insurance and insurance activity”, “On the Central Bank” and a number of other laws. All the draft laws will be presented to the National Assembly of Armenia in accordance with the established order. As the Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sarkisian stated during the session of the government, according to the agreements, reached earlier, the draft law “On activity of credit bureaus and circulation of credit information” will be discussed in the course of two days with the State Tax Service, the State Committee of Cadastre on Real Estate Property and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
