Yerevan, November 21 /Mediamax/. The number of VivaCell subscribers as of the end of September of 2007 made 1,1mln.

Mediamax reports that this is said in the financial results of the Russian MTS Group, which were presented in Moscow on November 20. Earlier this year, MTS purchased 80% of VivaCell shares.

Presenting the financial results, MTS President Leonid Melamed expressed confidence “for the successful development of the recently acquired business in Armenia”.

In the third quarter of 2007, the MTS operations in Armenia added $8mln in the consolidated income of the company. OIBDA index (Operating Income before Depreciation and Amortization) made $5mln.

The ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) index of VivaCell in the third quarter of 2007 made $15,7.
