Yerevan, November 20 /Mediamax/. Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sarkisian named today the three possible patterns of making Armenia the regional financial center. Mediamax reports that Tigran Sarkisian delivered a lecture today for the students and the professor-teacher staff of Yerevan State University, during which he presented the issues, related to the development of the financial sector in Armenia, and the prospects of making Armenia the regional financial center. CB Chairman noted that Armenia can choose one of the three patterns: - adopt the Beirut experience, which for a long time remained a serious financial center first of all at the expense of developing the Private banking; - adopt the Ireland pattern, which became the back-office for hundreds of leading banks; - provide in the CIS market specific banking services, which will be competitive in the post-soviet territory.
