Yerevan, October 11 /Mediamax/. Armenian parliament approved today in the first reading the draft law on making changes in the law “On the volume of minimal salary”.

Mediamax reports that, in accordance with the given document, the government of Armenia plans to increase the volume of minimal monthly salary from 20 thousand drams to 25 thousand, starting from January 1 of 2008.

As the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Aghvan Vartanian stated during the session of the parliament, the course of increase of the minimal salary volume will be continued in the future as well. According to him, it is expected that, starting from January 1 of 2010, it will make 35 thousand drams.
