Yerevan, September 14 /Mediamax/. VTB Bank and the “Armavia” Airline signed an agreement on cooperation, which provides for a long-term partnership in realization of a renovation and modernization program for the aviation park of “Armavia”.

As Mediamax was told in the VTB press service, the agreement provides for the participation of the VTB Group in a complex banking maintenance of “Armavia” and the funding of projects of the Airline, including, ones attracting resources of foreign financial institutions.

In particular, within the framework of the agreements, reached between VTB and “Armavia”, the sides plan to consider the possibility of a joint realization of a deal on purchasing Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) planes from the “Sukhoi Civil Planes” CJSC.

At present, a project for financing of the supply of two SSJ100 planes for “Armavia” in 2008 at the sum of $55-60mln is in the process of elaboration.
