Owing to Buyer and Seller investment conference held in Dilijan on June 11-12, 10 MOUs were signed between foreign investors and SMEs from Tavush marz.

Business Armenia, which supported organizational works of the conference, noted that ARLIAN Consulting firm presented 15 investment projects to the local and foreign potential investors, 10 of which are currently at stage of active discussions.

Community Center for Development NGO told Banks.am that programs of the following 10 sectors were especially discussed during the event: canning, building greenhouses, (cultivation of roses and strawberries), viticulture, winemaking, waste recycling, renewable energy sources, goat breeding, creation of slaughterhouses and meat processing, laboratory for rehabilitation of seedlings and plants, establishment of large agritourism center.  

Initiators of the project expect about 1,000 new job openings in the next 1 or 2 years.

Tavush regional administration and Community Center for Development NGO have agreed to host such events every year.
