The Peoples Bank of Georgia refuted the information on selling its shares to one of the Ukrainian banks. Mediamax reports referring “News-Georgia” that the Peoples Bank of Georgia did not rule out the possibility that, on the contrary, in the nearest future it will be able to purchase one of the Ukrainian banks. Last week the Deputy Chairman of the “Ukrgasbank” Board Yegor Rusin stated that the bank plans to enter the markets of Georgia, Belarus and Moldova by the end of the year. “The point is the purchase of banking establishments to set up subsidiary banks. One of such banks will be the Peoples bank of Georgia”, Rusin stated. As of early June, the assets of the Peoples Bank of Georgia made $92,8mln. Tweet Views 7554
