Yerevan, July 10 /Mediamax/. Today is the first anniversary of the launching of the first and only banking web-portal in Armenia - Banks.am. In the course of this year, the Banks.am portal (Financial Armenia), which was elaborated by Mediamax News Agency, proved its demand, and was a success as an individual brand. In October of 2006, only three months after its official launching, the portal was honored by the first prize of the All-Armenian competition of Electronic Content. If in autumn of 2006, the monthly number of visitors of www.banks.am made about 5 thousand people, in June of the current year the index reached the point of 30 thousands. In July the portal registers 1300-1500 visits daily. “The mechanical growth of the number of visitors of Banks.am is not an aim in itself for us. Much more important for us is the fact that the portal fulfilled the main tasks, set by Mediamax Agency. Visiting www.banks.am, any resident of Armenia, who is interested in this or that type of banking and financial services, will receive comprehensive information. We have united the offers, which exist on the market, leaving the right of choice to the potential customers. The portal has become a convenient tool for the people, who are professionally involved in financial and banking activities. The banking and economic news, which are placed in the portal, made www.banks.am the most favorite website of many bankers”, Director of Mediamax Agency Ara Tadevosyan stated. The team of Banks.am continues participating in the process of developing a civilized dialogue among the representatives of the banking sphere of Armenia. A few months ago, the website launched a new rubric - “Discussion Club”, in which the representatives of the Central Bank and the commercial banks of Armenia discuss the most topical issues for the sphere. “The interest for Banks.am project is the best stimulus for the development and the enrichment of the portal. By the end of the year we will offer our visitors a few novelties, which, I am sure, will assist the popularization of banking services in Armenia”, Ara Tadevosyan noted. Tweet Views 6797
