Yerevan, June 5 /Mediamax/. The Board of the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia left unchanged the refinancing rate of CB, establishing it at the level of 4.5%.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the Central Bank, the given decision was made by the CB Board during its session on June 4.

In May 2007, there was a 2.1% inflation registered, as compared to April. Thus, the inflation index for the period of the year made 3.8% - 1.4 percent point lower, as compared to the same index of the beginning of the year.

CB Board noted that, as compared to 2006, the external inflation pressures remain mild and the developments of the aggregate demand do not bear additional inflation threats.
