The number of plastic cards, issued in Georgia, exceeded 1mln, having increased for 163 thousands, as compared to the beginning of the year.

Mediamax reports referring “News-Georgia” that in the first quarter of 2007, there were 2,9mln operations at the whole sum of 406mln lari realized by plastic cards on the internal market of Georgia.

2,6mln operations at the whole sum of 335,4mln lari fell on the share of VISA cards, 255 thousand operations at the whole sum of 65,2mln lari - Eurocard/Mastercard, and 19 thousand operations at the whole sum of 5,4mln lari - Georgian Card.
