Victoria Avagyan and Robert Ghulijanyan from Koghb village of Tavush marz took part in the summer camp of Tumo Center for Creative Technologies with support from Converse Bank.

According to the bank, the children got acquainted with global technological innovations and the specifics of robotics, animation filmmaking and web site development during the one-week camp.

“The choice of children was based on the justification for the results expected from their participation in the camp. The schoolchildren mentioned that they attended Armath club in the secondary school of Koghb village, and their participation in Tumo summer camp would enable them to deepen their knowledge in the field of technology, which they would be able not only to transfer to other children from their village later on, but also to use in life, regardless of the profession they choose in the future,” the bank’s statement reads.

Converse Bank also stressed that they constantly support schoolchildren and the youth “by involvement in education of the new generation, creating favorable learning environment for them, and launching various card-related and lending campaigns”.

The bank is certain that Armenia’s future will be created by young people competitive at the labor market, educated in line with international standards and economy development trends.

“In this respect, Converse Bank cooperated and cooperates with such educational centers and educational institutions, as the American University of Armenia, Anania Shirakatsi Educational Complex, Yerevan State Economic University, etc,” the bank stated, noting that this summer camp marks the beginning of Converse Bank’s cooperation with Tumo, which can serve as a basis for long-term and effective partnership.

More than 100 children from 10 settlements attended the fifth Tumo summer camp.
