At the government session today, Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan instructed to prepare amendments to the Labor Code of Armenia.According to the Prime Minister, the studies and discussions conducted by the National Centre for Legislative Regulation and Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs discovered that the Labor Code “needs a drastic review”.Karen Karapetyan stressed that the amendments “should also relieve the employer’s administrative workload”.The Minister of Labor and Social and the Minister of Justice were instructed to form a joint working group, which will prepare draft amendments to the Labor Code in nine-month period and present it to the government.
