Converse Bank’s Trade Finance team participated in Belarus: Trade Finance 2017 conference on March 17, Minsk, Belarus. The team received Trade Facilitation Programme Academic Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in the “Introduction to Trade Finance”, an online training programme, offered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the field of trade finance. “Converse Bank received the award for Academic Excellence, owing to the unprecedented number and exceptional results of the employees, who participated in the online training. The majority of the 116 participating employees of the bank completed the programme with the highest possible results,” the bank notes.“This is an outstanding achievement, and we are delighted to see the commitment of Converse Bank to achieving the highest standards. The online training programme is unique, and provides the most advanced training available today, covering all significant areas and coaching the most recent developments in the Trade Finance arena,” Dr Rudolf Putz, Head of the Trade Facilitation team at the EBRD and Executive Director of the Board at ICC remarked.At the same time, Nelli Kocharyan, Acting Head of Converse Bank’s International Relations and Trade Finance Division won EBRD “TFP expert 2016 - Trade Exchange” international reward for her professional answers to the Trade Finance Clinic case studies on international trade finance issues in the EBRD’s Trade Exchange magazine. “Converse Bank attaches high value to its cooperation with the EBRD, one of bank’s most important partners on international financial markets. Cooperation between the institutions is not limited to the trade finance sphere, but also includes SME and corporate lending services. In addition to collaboration on financial instruments, the EBRD supports Converse Bank through the provision of technical training in professional skills for employees, enabling them to keep pace with current development trends in international markets,” the press release reads.
