Yerevan, March 22 /Mediamax/. The Armenian government made a decision today to sell its 10% shares of the “ArmenTel” CJSC to the Russian “VimpelCom”. As Mediamax was told in the press service of the Armenian government, according to the decision, the cost of the 1883771 shares of “ArmenTel” will make the 1/9 of the cost of 90% share, sold to the “VimpelCom” Company by the Greek OTE Telecommunications Company. The Russian “VimpelCom” Operator, who functions by the brand “BiLine”, purchased the 90% shares of the Armenian “ArmenTel” Telecommunications Company from the Greek OTE in November of 2006 by 341,9mln euro, as well as took upon itself the 40mln euros’ debt. Operators of mobile communication, providing services in Russia, Kazakhstan, and the newly-purchased operators of mobile communication in Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Georgia are included in the group of the “VimpelCom” Company.
