The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is ready to participate in the privatization of the Azerbaijani state Kapital Bank.

“The preparation for the given process has been going on for a few years, and the present conditions allow IFC participating in the privatization of the state bank. If we receive such a proposal, we are ready to participate in it”, the Head of the IFC Department for Global Financial Markets in the South Europe and Central Asia states Martin Kimming stated.

According to the representative of the Finance Corporation in Azerbaijan Aliya Azimova, the IFC supports the privatization of state banks in many countries, based on international standards.

“The IFC tries to attract well-known foreign banks for the joint participation in the privatization, for them to bring with themselves new technologies and services. By this very scheme we can participate in the privatization of the Azerbaijani state banks”, Aliya Azimova noted.
