Coca-Cola Bottlers Georgia Director Temur Chkonia received the license to open a McDonald’s for Armenia.Bizzone.info reports that the businessman told Georgian Commersant.ge news agency about this.Temur Chkonia stressed that McDonald’s Georgia is considered a McDonald’s partner, so in accordance with the mutual agreement it can enter a foreign market where the network doesn’t operate yet.The businessman informed that a McDonald’s Georgia delegation will visit Armenia on February 7 to determine the concrete place and other details for opening the restaurant.According to Temur Chkonia, the license is only the beginning, and they still have plenty of work to do.“We need to settle the legal part,” he said.The businessman stressed that construction of the Yerevan restaurant will kick off in 2017. He stated that the first stage implies establishment of 3 or 4 restaurants, each of those requiring EUR 2.5-3 million investment.McDonald’s Georgia opened in 1999.
