The international currency reserves of Georgia reached another maximum and exceeded $958mln. As the “News-Georgia” was told in the National Bank of Georgia, from early 2006 the volume of the reserves grew twice. Georgia had the smallest volume of international currency reserves on December 8 of 1998 - $62mln. As the National Bank informed, the growth of the international currency reserves will positively influence the credit ratings of Georgia, as well as will allow neutralizing the risks, related to the embargo, implemented by Russia in connection to Georgia.
