“Nobel days” initiative will launch in Yerevan tomorrow, within which 5 Nobel laureates will conduct lectures on biochemistry, physics and medicine. Biologists Aaron Ciechanover (Israel), Ada Yonath (Israel), chemist and physicist Dan Shechtman (Israel), patologist John Robin Warren (Australia) and chemist Ei-ichi Negishi (Japan) will conduct lecturers in Yerevan.Head of the Coordination Group for the “Nobel Days in Yerevan” initiative , vice-rector of Yerevan State Medical University Konstantin Yenkoyan today announced that three Nobel laureates have already arrived in Yerevan, the other two will be in Armenia tomorrow morning.“Tomorrow our guests will conduct lecturers on public themes, following that they will go on with more narrow, specialized lectures. Nobel laureates will also meet with Armenian students and pupils”, said Konstantin Yenkoyan.According to YSMU rector Michael Narimanyan, the organizers expect to continue the educational and research cooperation with five Nobel laureates.The event, organized under “Be inspired and create”, slogan which is unprecedented in the South Caucasus, will be held on April 12-16 in Yerevan State Medical University.
