Armenia increased its military expenditure by around 7,7% compared to last year, making it USD 447 million.According to the report published by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), this index increased in Armenia by around 71% compared to 2006.Meanwhile, Azerbaijan spent around USD 3 billion on army in 2015, which surpasses the index of previous year by 8%.The authors of the report notice that Azerbaijan mostly depends on oil income, and it notably cut military expenditure in 2016 budget.According to the report’s data, overall global military expenditure in 2015 was an estimated USD 1,7 trillion, representing an increase of about 1.0% from 2014.
