Yerevan, December 6 /Mediamax/. The new owners of “ArmenTel” have not yet made a decision on possible rebranding of the Company.

Mediamax reports that speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today, the Vice-President of “VimpelCom” Vladimir Ryabokon’ stated that “we very much respect the “ArmenTel” brand and have not yet made a final decision”. He noted that “there is a special expert commission, which examines the possibilities of rebranding, as well as the interaction of the “Beeline” and “ArmenTel” brands.

The new General Director of “ArmenTel” Oleg Bliznyuk stated today that the new owners of the company are not yet ready to talk about the prospects of increase or decrease of the tariffs.

Vladimir Ryabokon’ noted that “most likely, we will find a most balances solution - some of the tariffs will increase, some will decrease”.

As to the possible job cuts in the company, Oleg Bliznyuk stated that “we have to first find out -who is who”. He noted that as a whole the professional level of “ArmenTel” staff is quite high.

Vladimir Ryabokon’ expressed hope that in a shot period of time “VimpelCom” will manage “to train in Armenia a group of young, talented managers”.
