Ingo Armenia insurance company carried out a campaign with participation of 40 Armenian doctors within the policies of the professional liability of health workers.

The company has gifted AMD1mln insurance policies to the doctors, the company reports, and the first owner of such a policy was the Minister of Health of Armenia and a practicing physician Armen Muradyan.

"With the growing  public awareness and the possibility to defend personal interests, doctors are heavily dependent on the actions of disgruntled patients. Even if medical error is not detected, the doctor will have to spend a lot of nerves and finances to defend its interests. Therefore, we decided to go on world-famous tracks and offer the Armenian market a policy of the professional liability of health workers.

This product has two important features: the patient will be sure that the financial losses in the case of a professional error, will be covered by the doctor, and on the other hand – it will give the doctor a sense of financial security and legal support, which is also available on this policy'', said CEO of Ingo Armenia Levon Altunyan.

The event took place at the Center for Innovative Medicine "Vardanants", during an extraordinary meeting of the Association of Anesthetists of Armenia dedicated to the International Day of Anesthesiologists.

The company has also noted that the annual insurance premium for this type of insurance varies from 20 to 120 thousand drams, depending on the medical specialty.
