Qatar Airways will start operating Yerevan-Doha regular flights in 2016.

Armenia International Airports CJSC reports that the company has successfully completed negotiations with Qatar Airways.

“Recently the negotiations were most active after Etihad Airlines announced its intention to suspend flights to Armenia.

We are very proud that Qatar Airlines which was awarded the Best Airline of the Year for three consecutive years has elected Armenia as one of its new destinations in 2015”, the press release reads.

Qatar Airways is one of the largest air companies in the Middle East, with very extensive network operating flights to more than 140 destinations.  Qatar Airways fleet is equipped with more than 340 modern aircraft, including: Airbus A350, Airbus A380-800, Boeing 777-200, Boeing 777-300, Boeing 787-8 (Dreamliner) etc.

Armenia International Airports CJSC noted that Doha International Airport can be a convenient transit point for those who travel to the USA, the Middle and Far East from Armenia.
