Former Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan will chair the Eurasian Economic Commission, the supreme EEU body, in February 2016. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this in Kazakhstan today. “We decided that from February 1, 2016, Armenia will chair the Eurasian Economic Commission Board. We have also decided that after Victor Khristenko, the body will be chaired by Tigran Sargsyan- former Prime Minister of Armenia. His candidacy is supported by the Russian President as they worked together some time ago. He is said to be an experienced and advanced specialist, which is why we appointed him the Chairman of the Commission. From February 1, 2016, he will start working in the post”, he stated.
