People in Belarus and Armenia have shown reduced interest in the Eurasian integration over the year. The results of the annual survey of Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB) Integration Barometer Center for Integration Studies indicate this. In 2015, over 11 thousand people in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine took part in the survey. 78% and 80% of people in Russia and Kazakhstan respectively support the EEU membership, while the index in Armenia and Belarus makes 56% and 60% respectively which is by 8 percentage points lower than in 2014. Armenia also has registered growth of number of those who are indifferent or against the country’s membership to the EEU. At the same time, the survey shows that 55% of the Armenian respondents were for introduction of a single currency in the EEU.The full version of the survey is available here. Tweet Views 25814
