Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan has said he is going to pay a visit to China and discuss China’s involvement in the construction of Iran-Armenia rail link. The PM stated it at the meeting with Baze camp participants on August 17. Hovik Abrahamyan said that the construction of Armenia-Iran third high-voltage transmission lines would soon start. Two such transmission lines will be built between Armenia and Georgia, and “it will strengthen the position of Armenia as a country exporting electric energy.” The PM also added that Armenia’s commercial and economic ties with Iran are getting more dynamic and other programs will be implemented in the near future.
