Yerevan, September 4 /Mediamax/. According to the decision of the Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia, “Arminvestbank” is renamed to “Armbusinessbank”. As Mediamax was told in the CB press service today, the corresponding decision was signed by the CB Head August 25. The decision on renaming the bank was unanimously accepted at the special meeting of the shareholders of the “Arminvestbank” on August 10. Mediamax recalls that in April 2006 “Ukrprombank” declared about the purchase of “Arminvestbank’s” 35% share. The head of the Central Bank of Armenia Tigran Sarkisian assessed this deal positively, noting that “Ukrprombank” is a “sufficiently solid bank”. The Head of the Managing Committee of “Ukrprombank” Alexander Soltus stated July 4 in an interview to the Kiev “Delo” newspaper that the decision on purchase of the 35% share of “Arminvestbank” was reasoned by the fact that “according to the Armenian legislation, the purchase of the control packet of shares is quite difficult”. “As a rule, it is necessary for at least 3 founders of the bank to have equal shares. However, I think that in the course of time we will purchase the control package of the shares”, Alexander Soltus stated. Mediamax notes that in mid-April the press service of “Arminvestbank” stated that the Christie Management Company, registered on the British Virginia Islands, bought the 30% share of the bank. In June, the press service of “Arminvestbank” stated that the Ukrainian “ALFA-GARANT” Insurance Company purchased 35% shares of the bank. Tweet Views 11811
