Local currency increase access to resources, improvement of municipal infrastructure and expansion of financial intermediaries in Armenia remain important for EBRD.EBRD First Vice President Philip D. Bennett said this during his meeting with Minister of Economy of Armenia Karen Chshmarityan yesterday. Philip Bennett noted that the Bank wishes to reaffirm the agenda and further ways of cooperation, due to new developments and realities of Armenia.In his turn, Karen Chshmarityan highly appreciated long-term effective cooperation between Armenia and EBRD and expressed confidence that in the future there would be opportunities of deeper cooperation in different sectors.He also added that Armenia continues cooperation with the European Union regardless of becoming a member of the Eurasian Economic Union.
