Scientists with the Moscow State University and Tomsk State University in cooperation with foreign colleagues will create mathematical models for identification and assessment of new risks for the banking sector, including the risks caused by the coronavirus pandemic.TASS reports that “an international scientific group, led by Doctor of Philosophy Evgeny Pchelintsev (Tomsk State University), is starting to map the risks that lead to destruction of the financial system”.Economists from the Moscow State University and mathematicians from the Tomsk State University are going to identify the risks of the banking sector and suggest means for their assessment. The project will be implemented with the grant from the Russian Science Foundation. The project envisions creation and analysis of mathematical models that make it possible to calculate in which conditions the financial markets will collapse in difficult economic situations, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The researches will employ the data about financial indicators from the Bloomberg and CRSP (specialized) bases. The models will be used for calculation at the requests of specific actors or in cooperation with mediator companies. The project has already interested business centers in Normandy, such as Neoma Business School and Ecole de Management de Normandie. The partner of Fintech section is Tweet Views 18693
