American rapper Snoop Dogg (real name: Calvin Broadus) has become a shareholder in Swedish fintech startup Klarna.Forbes reports that the company, valued at USD 2.5 billion last year, offers buy-now-pay-later services.The rapper is also the face of Klarna’s marketing campaign, presenting as Smoooth Dog.The amount of Snoop Dogg’s investment into the company has not been disclosed.“I’ve been doing business in Europe for years with fashion brands, telecommunication companies and more,” the artist told Forbes.“When we started speaking to Snoop Dogg, he was very keen to learn more about the tech industry, fintech, all these things, so we connected very well,” said Klarna CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski.
