The comprehensive mission sent to the location of the implementation of North-South Road Corridor project in Armenia is completed. Experts of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), representatives of North-South project implementation group as well as technical consultants of Egis (France) company took part in it.During the mission, the experts examined the supposed segments of implementation of the project and assessed the current state of particular sections of the transport corridor in the segment of the highway from Kajaran to Agarak.The EDB experts’ involvement in the mission was aimed at analyzing the options of highway passage as proposed by the consultant as well as collecting necessary information for the decision of the Board of EurAzEC Anti-Crisis Fund on financing the project from the Funds’ money.The EDB is implementing the USD100mln project jointly with the Asian Development Bank.If the project is finally approved by the Board of the Anti-Crisis Fund (approximately in June) the funds for the project implementation will be allocated already in 2014.
