At the session today, the Armenian government approved Armenia’s 2014-2025 long-term development program.The government reviewed the “Sustainable Development Project” approved in 2008 taking into account the trends and new developments due to global-financial-economic crisis.“The reviewed project aims at providing post-crisis strategic and coordinated framework for determining the government’s policy areas. The project will enable the government to unite national capacities around the country’s long-term development prospect taking into account the achieved practices, current conditions and overall development challenges”, Armenian governmental press-service informs.The document includes the integrated set of Armenia’s social-economic development priorities, objectives, main development obstacles and the restraints, the key reforms required for the realization of the primary goals, the political tools as well as the main risks.“The challenge the long-term development strategy of the Armenian government faces is the constant increase in the material and non-material well-being of the population. Relying on the peculiarities of Armenia’s current development stage the opening of quality and high-productivity ensuring work places is recognized as the main goal of the project”, states the release.
