As of the results of the survey conducted by Gallup International Association's Armenian Office, 64% of the Armenian people positively assess Armenia's membership to Customs Union. Answering the question "What do you think of the idea of Armenia's membership to Customs Union?", 36% of the surveyed noted "more positive than negative" and 28% - "fully positive", Mediamax reports.Presenting the results of "Political and Economic Expectations of the Armenian Citizens" survey, Director of Gallup Association's Armenian Office Aram Navasardyan recalls that 67% of the respondents gave a positive assessment to the idea of Armenia's membership to Customs Union back in April 2013. "The decrease may be linked to the large-scale anti-propaganda against membership to Customs Union after September 3", noted Aram Navasardyan. As of the results of the survey, 67% of the respondents in Yerevan are for the membership to Customs Union and 61% - in marzes. The respondents answered the question "What do you expect from our country's membership to Customs Union?" in the following way: 38% expect economic growth, 26%- fall in prices, 17% - nothing will change and 8% - rise in prices. 18% of surveyed had difficulties answering the question.Among 45-54 age group, the attitude toward Customs Union is more positive than among other age groups.The survey was conducted on "tête-à-tête" principle across whole Armenia on October 9-16.
