The second round of “Cup 2012 – Armenian Football Federation/ Coca-Cola”, football school tournament, started.Addressing a press conference today, head of the AFF Ruben Hayrapetyan said that over 5000 pupils from Yerevan, Armenian regions and Artsakh took part in the first round of the tournament started in April, Mediamax reports.32 best teams will compete in the 1/16 final at the second round.“The tournament which has already become traditional gained in popularity both in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh”, said the head of the AFF.In his turn, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia Director General Gagik Danielyan stated that the company is proud to present the tournament. “Coca-Cola supports healthy lifestyle across the globe and assists school football championships in over 100 countries”, said Gagik Danielyan.Answering a question whether Coca-Cola wants to become the official partner of the Armenian National football team, the company’s Director General noted that the option is being considered but no decision has been made yet.“Coca-Cola is the official partner of FIFA and UEFA and we would be glad to be the partner of a national football team as well”, said Gagik Danielyan.Commenting on the question, Ruben Hayrapetyan stressed the importance of investments made by Coca-Cola in propagating and developing junior football in Armenia.
