Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stated today that the situation in Armenia “evidently needs radical changes and bold initiatives”.

The Prime Minister stated this speaking at the session of Political Assembly of the European People’s Party in Brussels today.

“Armenia is determined to pass this way. Armenia headed by President Serzh Sargsyan has a political will to speed up the reforms”, stated Tigran Sargsyan.

The PM agreed that “Armenia currently has a split between the values declared and reality”.

“Though we share more common values and traditions with Europe, the heritage of Ottoman Empire and Soviet Union left its imprint on our social rules of conduct. But we believe that the democratic reforms bear the potential for changing the conduct”, stated Tigran Sargsyan.
